Korean winter event "Hallasan Winter Event"

I want to show you the  ‘Hallasan Winter Event’ in korea

first of all, what is the Hallasan?

Hallasan is a shield volcano on Jeju Island of South Korea.

Hallasan is the highest mountain in South Korea. The area around the mountain is a designated national park, the Hallasan national park (Hallasan Gungnip Gongwon/한라산국립공원/漢拏山國立公園). Hallasan is commonly considered to be one of the three main mountains of South Korea.

Under Jeju Tourism Organization (JTO)’s effort, a special ‘Hallasan Winter Event’ is to take place, mainly at Eorimok Plaza. This will be the perfect opportunity to enjoy Hallasan national park, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site, and one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature sites. The event will start from December 20, 2014 and continue until the following year January 31.

In addition to Jeju’s unbeatable winter views including Hallasan and the surrounding natural landscapes covered in snow, there will be various winter sports programs ready for local residents and visitors traveling during the festival period as well as Korean culture experience programs.

International visitors can also take advantage of the free shuttle bus running between Jeju-si/Seogwipo-si and Eorimok Plaza. This bus is specially provided by JTO in order to help passengers with foreign nationalities access easier transportation to the venue.
